The stages are 00 - 0B, and they go in order.  There is no 0A.  0A is the title screen, and that uses a different VROM page.  If you want to modify the CHR tables for the lower-left VROM page, just copy the table for the desired stage, open up the hex editor, use the search feature, and paste it in.  The Miscellaneous CHR tables work by eights, since there are a total of eight weapons in the game.  So if you modify them, they begin at 60, and end at C7, unless of course you decide to add your own CHR pages after C7, in which case you should follow the eight format.  You'll see how the format works by opening up the ROM in a graphics editor.  The eight weapons are stored in CHR in the numerical order that they have in the game.
